• Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department;
• Supervise, train, and support housekeeping staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness;
• Coordinate with other department managers, such as kitchen and front-of-house, to ensure smooth workflow and cleanliness;
• Ensure all dining areas, restrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean and well-maintained;
• Manage cleaning schedules for routine and deep cleaning tasks;
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure appropriate stock levels;
• Manage laundry services for linens, uniforms, and other fabric items;
• Order cleaning supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring budget adherence;
• Ensure the restaurant complies with local health and safety regulations;
• Develop and implement health and safety protocols related to cleaning and sanitization;
• Conduct regular training for housekeeping staff on safety protocols, equipment use, and cleaning standards;
• Lead, mentor, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure high performance;
• Manage the work schedule, time-offs, and attendance records of the housekeeping team;
• Work with the management team to ensure a pleasant dining experience for guests;
• Monitor and manage the housekeeping budget, optimizing costs while maintaining quality;
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and manage recycling efforts;
• Coordinate with external vendors for waste collection and recycling programs;
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working condition;
• Schedule regular maintenance and repairs of cleaning tools and machines;
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, supply usage, and staff performance;
• Report regularly to the restaurant's general manager on housekeeping activities and any issues.
• What qualifications the candidate need to possess: 
• Proven work experience in housekeeping management, preferably in hospitality setting;
• High school diploma or equivalent required;
• Additional education or training in hospitality or housekeeping;
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills;
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning best practices, chemicals, equipment, and procedures;
• Ability to manage budgets and inventory efficiently;
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
